Born and raised on the sunlit plains of southeast Colorado, Bauserman makes his living as an outdoor writer. Bauserman lives in La Junta, Colorado, with his loving wife, Amy, and three exceptional children, Hunter, Abbey, and Brody. Bauserman credits his bowhunting success and the ability to live his outdoor dream to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
